About VGEC 2026

The Vietnamese Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Congress (VGEC) is an annual scientific event organized by the Vietnamese Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE).

The 9th Vietnamese Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Congress – VGEC 2025 was successfully held on April 18–19, 2025 in Can Tho City, attracting over 1,000 doctors, nurses, and experts in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy and related specialties.

Building on that success, the 10th Vietnamese Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Congress (VGEC 2026) will be held on April 17–18, 2026, at 108 Central Military Hospital.

VGEC 2026 is not only a major academic event but also a meaningful milestone that celebrates the journey of growth and development, reaffirming the Association’s pivotal role in promoting gastrointestinal endoscopy in Vietnam and contributing to the enhancement of diagnostic and therapeutic quality for patients.

The Organizer

The Vietnamese Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE) was established in 2011 and comprises three regional branches in the North, Central, and South of Vietnam. VFDE proudly collaborates with prestigious international professional societies such as APSDE (the Asia-Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy), ANBIIG (Asian Novel Bio-Imaging and Intervention Group), AEG (Asian EUS Group), ASGE (American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy), and JGES (Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society). These partnerships have facilitated the organization of numerous conferences, congresses, and training courses both domestically and internationally, helping Vietnamese endoscopists and nurses access up-to-date knowledge and enhance their clinical skills.

Over the past decade, VFDE has partnered with hospitals across the country to host a wide range of thematic workshops—from basic to advanced levels—contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and the enhancement of clinical competence within the professional community.

The Vietnamese Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Congress (VGEC) was first held in Hanoi in 2012. Since 2018, the congress has been organized annually in various provinces and cities nationwide to meet the growing needs for education, knowledge exchange, and professional networking among endoscopy specialists, endoscopists, nurses, and technicians working in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy and related disciplines.

With a strong commitment to continuous innovation in its organizational format, program content, and academic quality, the Organizing Committee hopes that VGEC will continue to serve as a prestigious scientific congress—an event that not only showcases the latest advancements in the field but also fosters stronger connections and sustainable development within Vietnam’s gastrointestinal endoscopy community.
